Something was wrong.
Something was defiantly wrong, and Kevin 11,000 knew it.
People would look right through him sometimes, like they couldn’t see him.
At first he thought they were ignoring him. But there were too many. No one had dared ignore Kevin 11,000 before, and when they did recognize his presence, they were as respectful as always.
He’d paid it little mind at first, until he started to forget things. Memories of the Null Void, of his family, they were all slipping away.
It was like he was disappearing.
No.
He was being replaced.
New memories appeared for every one lost.
Memories of years in the Null void replaced with smoothies and sports cars.
And Her.
Everywhere in his mind was Her face.
Her red hair and green eyes flooded every corner of his mind.
Who was she?
And why did he feel so strange when he thought about her?
It made him feel weak.
Kevin growled aloud.
Nobody makes Kevin 11,000 weak.
Nobody.
He dug deep into his mind to find the name for his tormenter’s face. Then, suddenly it came to him, as if he always knew it, and for a moment he doubted that he hadn’t remembered it a moment ago.
Gwen.
Gwen Tennyson.
His mind flared with rage at that last name. The cousin of his worst enemy: Ben Tennyson. She was the one causing all this, but not the one he knew now. The one making him weak was younger, 17 at the most.
Somehow his past had changed, changing his present, making this Kevin disappear.
Kevin smirked. Now all he had to do is go back in time,
And take out the change.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

16 year old Kevin Levin leaned absentmindedly against the hood of his green and black sports car, watching Ben stand in line in front of “Mr.Smoothy’s”, a smoothie joint with some of the most inedible smoothies in the history of the world. Apparently Ben didn’t think that.
Kevin rolled his eyes.
With how much that kid came here, they might as well reserve a parking space.
He turned to the red-headed 15 year old girl next to him.

“I bet they put something in to those smoothies, ya know, like chopped up people or something…  I mean, how else could they be so terrible?”

Gwen chuckled “I think someone would have shut them down by now.” She said, rolling her eyes.

Kevin glared at the four cups Ben was holding (all for him, of course, as neither Kevin nor Gwen could stomach them).

“I might chop somebody up to close this place down.” He said quietly.

He’d done something like that once, it was a pizza place and involved a crate of dead weasels, but Gwen didn’t need to know about that.

Before Gwen could respond, a huge yellow/gold hole ripped through the air a few feet from them, blowing their hair into their faces and causing a commotion among the other “Mr.Smoothy’s” customers.

“What is that thing?” Kevin yelled over the roar of the wind being sucked into the hole.

“It looks like a time portal!” Gwen yelled back, but her words were lost in the roar.

The surface of the golden orb shuddered as a huge shape passed through.
Kevin and Gwen gasped in unison as they recognized the creature.

Kevin 11. The mutated form of eleven year old Kevin Levin.

His three eyes were wide and the skin above his eyes, where his eyebrows would have been, knit together, as if he were afraid. He glanced backward as the hold closed behind him.
His mismatched eyes searched the scene if front of him, scanning the faces in the crowd until his gaze settled on Gwen.

“G…Gwen?” he asked tentatively “Gwen Tennyson?”

Gwen blinked twice before nodding stiffly, shocked at the events of the past few seconds.

The young Kevin disappeared in a blur of blue and black motion, then reappeared a few inches in front of Gwen.
He made a motion that resembled a quick bow and said.

“I’m sorry!”

Gwen’s hands lit up with spheres of purple mana, but before she could get a shield up, the huge eleven year old hit her lightly on the head, or, at least, it had seemed light to him. The force of his blow was plenty enough to knock Gwen out.

Kevin snapped out of his shock-frozen stance.

“H…Hey!” He cried, running towards the younger Kevin. “What the Hell are you doing?”

The young amalgam of creatures ignored him and scooped Gwen into his two lower arms.  He turned back to face Kevin for a moment and grinned sheepishly, as if he were embarrassed, then disappeared again as he used his XLR8 speed to make his escape.
Kevin knew he should get in his car, that he should follow the streak of blue/black lines left behind his former self, but he couldn’t will his feet to move. He was in shock.
He’d just stolen Gwen.
From himself.
Plot bunnies are hard to find. It seems like everyone else has plot bunnies just running around, tempting the down many different trails. People make it seem like the problem is FOLLOWING them. My problem is FINDING them.
So finally, some unsuspecting plot bunny hops by me and I promtly pounced on it and stabbed it. Of course, at that point I realised that might not have been the best idea. Now, after a few weeks on intensive care, he's made a full recovery! Not really. He kinda limps...

This story is very old, but I still love it to death! (pardon the pun, just got through reading it for the nth time. lol)

On that subject, would you object to me proofreading this and beta-reading, sending you the finished copy? I have to confess, I've had it saved in my documents since you first published it here. lol sorry.

I'd be more than happy to edit it and send it back! (still keeping a copy tho for re-reading purposes.)
